Privacy

Emotional Receipt is a free app made by Creations by Tassh, a brand of STUDIO MERLIN, s.p. ("we"). We are responsible for your data on this site. This page explains, in plain words, what happens to it.

What you type

The names, memories, prices and secret note you type are turned into a receipt right inside your browser. They are not sent to our server and we do not store them.

What stays on your device

The app remembers one thing in your browser's local storage: whether sound is on or off. That is all. You can wipe it any time by clearing this site's data in your browser settings.

Receipt links

When you tap "copy link", the names, items, note and cashier rank are packed into the link itself, after the # sign. Browsers never send that part of a link to a server, so we never see or store it. Anyone you give the link to can read it, and so can the app you send it with, for example a messaging app. Only write what you are happy for the link to carry.

Saved pictures

The story and square pictures are drawn in your browser and saved straight to your device. The "share" button opens your phone's own share menu, so we don't see where you send them.

Server logs

Like every website, our server briefly records technical details of each visit: IP address, browser type, time and the page asked for. We use them only to keep the site safe and running. They are overwritten automatically after a short time. We do not use them to identify you or build profiles.

No third parties

Fonts, textures and all pictures come from our own server. There are no analytics, social plugins or advertising networks.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask what we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it. You can also complain to your data protection authority. Since everything lives on your own device, there is usually nothing on our side, but write to us and we will check.

Children

Children under 16 should ask a parent before sharing receipt links.

Terms of use

1. Agreeing to these terms

By using Emotional Receipt you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

2. A free app, offered as it is

Emotional Receipt is a free entertainment app. It is offered "as is" and "as available", without any promise or warranty of any kind. We do not promise that it is accurate, complete, error free, secure, always available or suitable for any purpose. We may change, pause or stop the app, or any part of it, at any time and without notice.

3. Not a real receipt

Every receipt made here is a joke and a keepsake. It is not a real purchase, invoice, contract or proof of payment, and must never be used as one. The checkout game, the "love card" and the card terminal are pretend. No money is ever charged and no payment details are asked for.

4. Your content and your data

You alone are responsible for everything you type, save, share or send with the app, including names, memories, notes and links. We do not check it. We are not responsible for content that is incorrect, incomplete, outdated, offensive or unlawful, for using someone's name or details without their permission, or for what other people do with a link or picture you share. Please check your receipt before you share it.

5. Fair use

Please don't use the app to hurt, harass or mislead anyone, to share someone else's private details, to break the law, or to try to break or overload the app. We may block use that does this.

6. Errors

The app may contain bugs, typos, wrong totals, wrong ranks or other mistakes, and pictures may not save or look right on every device. We are not responsible for any errors in the app or in anything it creates, or for any decision you make based on them.

7. Digital content and refunds

The app is free. If we ever offer paid digital extras, they are delivered to you straight away. By buying, you ask for immediate delivery and agree that your 14 day right of withdrawal ends once delivery has started. This means all purchases are final and not refundable, except where the law says otherwise, for example if the content is faulty and we cannot fix it.

8. Limits on our liability

As far as the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss, including loss of data, loss of profit, loss of reputation, hurt feelings or disappointment, arising from using or not being able to use the app. As far as the law allows, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or 10 euro if you paid nothing.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as liability for intent, gross negligence, or death or personal injury caused by negligence, and nothing limits your rights as a consumer under the law of the country you live in.

9. If someone makes a claim

As far as the law allows, if someone makes a claim against us because of content you created or shared with the app, or because you broke these terms, you agree to cover the reasonable costs and losses this causes us.

10. Other apps and links

When you share a receipt, you use other services, such as messaging apps or social networks. They have their own terms and we are not responsible for them.

11. Our work

The design, code, illustrations and textures belong to Creations by Tassh. You are welcome to share your receipts, pictures and links. Please don't copy the app or resell its artwork. Emotional Receipt is an independent project and is not connected to Receiptify or Spotify.

12. Law and courts

These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Slovenia. Disputes go to the competent court in Slovenia. If you are a consumer, you keep any right the law gives you to bring a claim in the courts of the country you live in.

13. Changes and the rest

We may update these terms and this policy at any time. The date at the top shows the latest version, and using the app after a change means you accept it. If any part of these terms is found invalid, the rest still applies.
